About Scitec.

Scitec, Inc., a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), began pioneering low-cost industry standard and feature phones to the hospitality industry in 1993, and today owns and operates its own ISO-9001 and RoHS-certified manufacturing facility in the Far East. TeleMatrix, Inc., originally Teleconcepts, has designed and manufactured telecommunications equipment since 1985. Scitec and TeleMatrix merged on April 17th, 2006, consolidating four popular telephone brands, including the Marquis® Series (hospitality), Aegis-08® Series (hospitality), Spectrum PLUS® (business) and Regency® (residential).

Customer Service

Because the merged company customer base exceeds 14 million units installed at over 50,000 commercial customer locations worldwide, Scitec PriorityCare® customer service representatives are on the job to expedite orders and meet customer expectations. In addition to a U.S. distribution center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, a global network of certified distributors provide product in North America, Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), Asia/Pacific, and Caribbean/Latin America regions. Scitec also maintains sales/warehouse facilities in Europe, India, Dubai, and China.

Technology

Under the trade name SciTouch®, Scitec has developed and marketed one-touch voice mail retrieval technology featured on Aegis-08 Series telephones. A single touch of the blinking lightbar automatically turns on the speakerphone and speed dials the user into voice mail to listen hands-free. Scitec has also deployed CPU-driven technology designed to broaden and deepen feature set capabilities, effectively eliminating back-up batteries and resulting in lower cost of ownership and increased feature storage reliability. Other technology firsts include the development and marketing of line powered Caller ID business telephones, and single-use hospital patient room telephones. The company holds the following United States Patent Office (USPO) technology patents:

  • Method and apparatus for programming guestroom telephones, July 5, 2005 #6,914,977
  • Guestroom telephone having single action message retrieval, April 29, 2003 Patent #6,556,663
  • Guest service speakerphone, September 18, 2001 #D448,011

VoIP Technology

Through the combination of licensing partnerships and in-house engineering and development, Scitec manufactures and markets a growing line of DECT cordless, SIP-compliant DECT-IP cordless, and corded SIP telephones under the TeleMatrix brand.

We Are The Factory

Because we own our own award-winning, ISO-9001 and RoHS-certified factory and research/development facilities, we are able to design, engineer, and manufacture branded telephones to meet the needs of Scitec customers, as well as original equipment manufacturing (OEM), and original design manufacturing (ODM) telephones to meet custom requirements.
